This is why Alberta Handmade Soap Co exists. The customers!
I make soap because I enjoy it, but I sell it because others do. I’ve been making soap since January 2011 and don’t expect I’ll ever stop.
Why would I?
Making soap is cool, it’s fun, it’s useful, and I make a great product. I’ll be around for a while – I hope you’ll join me along the ride!
My name is Amy.
I have 4 amazing kids, one grown daughter and one grown son, and 2 younger guys who think they should be grown. The 5 of us are really from the US. I am married to a pretty awesome Canadian guy, and that is why we transplanted ourselves from the states to Alberta.
I am also the proud mama-owner of one OCD rescue cat (no really, he’s medicated for the OCD) and one completely stereotypical Rottweiler. Zoomies and stubborn and cuddles are all this pooch is about.
We live on a quarter section farm in the middle of nowhere, northwest-central Alberta. We’re still in the early stages of owning our own farm (previously farmed with the husband’s family) and we have hay crops now, but eventually, we’ll be living the dream complete with chickens, a full vegetable garden, and a goat or 3.
